Rhettorical

The rantings, views and commentary of a right-winged criminal justice student on current events, politics, law, and even life. The goal of this blog is to allow the writer to vent on articles and experiences that make him angry and to open up discussions in a hostile atmosphere. So please sit back and relax as I convert you to the dark side.

A good Law Enforcement Organization

As some of my fellow right-wingers know, almost all police organizations out there seem hell bent on passing pro gun control measures. As a matter of public opinion and general media storytelling it seems like all police organizations are anti gun.

But I have accidently stumbled upon one that should give us right-oriented citizens great hope on the matter. The National Law Enforcement Alliance of America is just one such organization. So much so in fact, that they are very critical to organizations that do pander to the gun control crowd. Let us take a look and venture into their realm.

Under their spotlight column they have several articles of interest in the law enforcement and political field. The ones I will point out are on the topic of gun control.

The very bottom one discusses how law-abiding citizens have to become criminals to protect themselves. and if they do follow the law and moral principle, they die. To quote NLEAA in closing on this article:

Gun control increases the probability of violent crime and decreases the victim's chances of survival for citizens who obey the law.

One point for the NLEAA.

Under their article on Cops vs. Gun Control they take a shot at the belief that a majority of law enforcement is pro gun control. In fact their opening statement is:

One of the driving forces behind LEAA’s founding was to dispel the false impression that America’s police favor more gun control.
And:

Next time you see cops willingly participate in pro-gun control debate, notice how few of them are front-line street level officers.

And:

Recently, a Florida sheriff created headlines when he called for renewal of the 1994 Clinton Gun ban. He even demonstrated on nationwide TV the “devastating effects” that so-called banned weapons would have in the hands of criminals. It turns out the fully-automatic military weapon he demonstrated was not even covered by the 1994 ban.

A police organization that is logical!

The big money quote though is this one.

... But that is not what gun control means to the Brady’s, the Clintons, Charles Schumer and, Dianne Feinstein. Their definition of gun control means restricting the rights of, and disarming, peaceable citizens. And the answer to that idea is a loud and clear, unambiguous "NO", at least from real cops.

Then this article goes into how the Clinton-Brady bunch used government money in the form of statistical research to pay off and eventually corrupt good police organzations.

They even have an article against the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994. No more quotes, this and all the other articles need read in full. If you are of the same mind that I am you should go out as soon as possible and support such a fine organization. I know I'll try to do that next paycheck.
