Rhettorical

The rantings, views and commentary of a right-winged criminal justice student on current events, politics, law, and even life. The goal of this blog is to allow the writer to vent on articles and experiences that make him angry and to open up discussions in a hostile atmosphere. So please sit back and relax as I convert you to the dark side.

Police Patrols

One degree requirement for my Criminal Justice Degree is that we ride=along with police officers eight hours once a week. I did my first Ride-Along yesterday for four hours and I must tell you, it is an experience that no one should miss out on. By confidentiality agreement I can't really state what we did. Actually it is not fully defined, I don't know if I can't mention anything, or just no names, dates, or locations. But I'll play it safe and go with the more restrictive. But there are a lot of agencies out there that allow ride-alongs if you ask for prior permission, and sign waiver and confidentiality agreements. I suggest anyone who has even the remotest desire to go ahead and do so. It is a very cool experience and gives you a better understanding of law enforcement, criminals, John Q Public, and the law officers themselves.
